Poko Skincare arrives in Arnotts Christmas Market just in time for Christmas gift shopping

Dundalk-based skincare brand, Poko is now stocked in Arnotts for their Christmas market in the department store’s Lower Ground Level. The luxury all-natural Irish skincare brand which offers a fresh take on beauty will likely be a big Christmas gift hit as shoppers turn towards more ethical product choices.

The vegan brand has just been given Cruelty Free International’s Leaping Bunny approval. This international approval declares that every single ingredient and process that goes towards creating Poko products is entirely free from animal cruelty. Not only that, the Poko brand has committed to making all its packaging entirely sustainable by 2022.

Poko is accessible, all-natural luxury that cares for complex skin needs

Poko’s co-founder, Justine O’Hanlon is thrilled that Arnotts - a store synonymous with luxury products - will be offering Poko products to the public. Although these all-natural products with their superstar ingredient hemp, are set at an accessible price point, they were specifically created with luxury in mind.

O’Hanlon found her way to hemp as a skincare product to help treat and balance the hormonal breakouts caused by Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

“Hemp as a skincare product was a game-changer for my skin,” says O’Hanlon. “That was obviously a driving factor in creating this skincare range. What I really felt was missing from the market were skincare products that helped problem skin like mine but that still felt special and luxurious.”

“It seemed like the only products that helped me were very clinical, medical-grade ones. I wanted something with a boutique feel, a unique and considered creation that made me feel like I was using a high-end skincare product.”

Arnotts Christmas Market- the perfect home for Poko Skincare

Where better to stock an Irish-made boutique product than Arnotts, the oldest and largest department store in Ireland; a byword for luxury and quality for nearly two hundred years. Since 1843, they have welcomed shoppers from all around the world through their iconic brass-clad doors on Henry Street. They have proudly been a trusted family favourite for generations of Irish people.

Poko’s skincare products should be right at home in this one-of-a-kind department store. They join over 700 international brands and 100 Irish craft labels exhibited stylishly over seven luxury floors. Arnotts’ eclectic mix of Irish, high-street, and designer clothes labels is irresistible. A mecca for skincare fanatics, the Beauty & Fragrance Hall is a genuine temple dedicated to the very best beauty products.

“We at Poko are so proud our products will stand in Arnott's iconic beauty hall,” says O’Hanlon. We think a gallery dedicated to beautifully curated skincare products is the perfect home for our products.”

Poko makes Hemp skincare mainstream

The decision to place Hemp front and centre in a skincare range always made sense to Poko’s co-founder, Justine O’Hanlon. Its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial characteristics are incredibly effective in treating acne and other types of inflammation. This powerful cannabinoid is perfect for both those with complex skin needs and those with everyday skincare needs.

Hemp can relieve pain and inflammation when applied to the skin. It’s also high in antioxidants and has anti-ageing qualities, according to the European Journal of Pain. Developing a Hemp skincare line means making products already naturally designed to interact with the integral systems that exist in our bodies.

In summary

Poko’s range of skincare products will be available in Arnotts Christmas Market throughout November and December this year. The perfect gift for the skincare fanatic in your life.
