Acne comes in a range of different shapes and sizes, so it's important you understand what type of acne you have in order to make sure you use the right products to treat or calm it.
Not sure how to care for acne prone skin?
You should always start with Cleansing morning and night. At night time if you wear make-up or have been working out we recommend a double cleanse to remove all impurities from the day. Gently massage a few pumps of your cleanser into damp skin and wipe away with a muslin cloth or reusable bamboo pad.
For breakouts that appear all over the face, as a cluster or red patches usesoothing serum after cleansing at night. For particularly stubborn areas you can use this treatment in the morning as well or under make-up as a primer that will get to work while you look your best.
If you're suffering with breakouts that are under the skin or cystic, try theAzelaic acid spot gel applied over your face or in a particular trouble area. Be aware that Azelaic acid may purge your skin and is a longer term solution for Acne sufferers, this means your skin may get worse within the first 2-4 weeks before it gets better as it draws out impurities from the skin.
If you have combination skin and suffer from dry patches and flaky skin as well as oily zones and breakouts, introduce an AHA treatment to your routine one or two nights a week. Applied after cleansing and followed up with a non oily moisturiser, like our Light Hydrating Moisturiser.
