We do not test on animals at any stage of production. Poko believes that beauty products should be cruelty free. We are proud to be Leaping Bunny approved. A global programme, Leaping Bunny requires cruelty free standards over and above legal requirements.

All of our own brand cosmetic and personal care products are approved under the Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny programme, the internationally recognisable gold standard for cruelty free products. We adhere to a fixed cut-off date policy and proactively monitor our suppliers to ensure that our products continue to adhere to the Leaping Bunny criteria. Our supplier monitoring system is also independently audited.

Poko products are suitable for all skin types, from acne-prone oily skin to dry, dehydrated skin. However, if you have allergies or sensitive skin, we strongly advise you to do a patch test first or ask your doctor for advice.

In order to carry out a patch test, on a clean face take a small amount of the product and apply. Wait 24 hours to see if any irritation, swelling or itchyness occurs before using the product as intended.

How quickly you see a result depends on the product you're using. For example, our Purifying Gel Cleanser and moisturisers will get to work immediately, but some of our other products may take a bit longer to show results. However, all effective skincare products take time to work, and you should anticipate seeing results from any new addition to your skincare routine in four to six weeks.

Sometimes our products change colour, but this doesn't mean they are expired or harmful. The change usually occurs due to the hemp content, and the colour shift simply indicates that the hemp used in the product is of the highest quality and is completely natural. It is a normal organic reaction that occurs when the product is exposed to light and oxygen.
