What's included in the Hydrate & Protect Kit:
Our Daily SPF 50 Moisturiser is a moisturiser that is also a broad spectrum sunscreen to protect yourself from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Developed with rugby legend, Rob Kearney. It moisturises and protects you from sun damage and signs of aging.
Our Soothing Serum contains tea tree oil and aloe vera to calm your skin and keep it hydrated perfect for fighting inflammation, whether it's from a breakout or redness.
How to Use the Hydrate and Protect Kit
Step 1: In the morning, after cleansing your skin, wipe it off with our Reusable Bamboo face pad.
Step 2: Then add 1-2 pumps of our Soothing Serum to your face. You can apply directly to trouble areas where you have inflammation or pat gently all over the face.
Step 3: Lastly, finish up with our Daily SPF 50 Moisturiser. Apply generously all over the face and neck with gentle circular motions.
Ingredients
Daily SPF 50 Moisturiser
Aqua (water), C12-15 alkyl benzoate, octocrylene, titanium dioxide, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, ethylhexyl salicylate, potassium cetyl phosphate, glycerin, hydrolyzed wheat protein/pvp crosspolymer, sorbitan stearate, peg-100 stearate, glyceryl stearate, magnesium aluminum silicate, thermus thermophillus ferment, xanthan gum, disodium edta, oleth-10, isodeceth-6, aluminum stearate, alumina, marrubium vulgare extract, simethicone*, ethylhexylglycerin, phenoxyethanol.
*We do not add silicones to our products however because simethicone is used in the manufacture of the titanium dioxide ingredient we purchase as an anti-foaming ingredient, we have to list it. They normally remove this before the titanium dioxide is finished but in case there is a trace left, we have included it in our ingredients list.
**Octocrylene is an essential ingredient to protect your skin from UV rays. Always perform a patch test when trying out any new skincare product. But if you have sensitive skin or skin concerns such as rosacea or eczema, try out our Regenerating Collagen Moisturiser instead which contains zinc oxide, a mineral sunscreen.
***Titanium Dioxide is an essential ingredient in sunscreens. It is a non-comedogenic ingredient. It protects against UVA and UVB rays. Note that this ingredient is banned only as a food additive and is deemed completely safe and effective ingredient in cosmetics.
Soothing Serum
Aqua, aloe vera leaf powder (aloe barbadensis), cannabidiol (200mg) vegetable glycerin, carbomer, polysorbate 20, sodium hydroxide, sea buckthorn oil (hippophae rhamnoides), tea tree oil (melaleuca alternifolia), lavender oil (lavandula angustifolia), cedarwood oil (cedrus atlantica), lemon oil (citrus medica limonum), phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, citral*, geraniol*, linalool*, limonene*.
*Naturally occurring component from essential oils used.
Key Actives
Venuceane
An antioxidant that acts as a skin conditioning agent to boost skin's natural defense against UV damage. It increases the rate of cell renewal to help strengthen the skin's natural barrier.
White Horehound
A plant extract which protects and detoxifies the skin cells from external pollutants, strengthens the skin barrier, stimulates the skin's natural antioxidants and reduces inflammation.
Glycerin
A plant-derived humectant that works to draw moisture out of the air into the skin, keeping the skin moisturised. It works to maintain the natural moisture barrier which defends the skin from environmental damage, dryness and irritation.
Aloe Vera
An excellent skin hydrator, which can help to reduce the frequency of acne breakouts and keep dry skin hydrated. Natural anti-inflammatory properties can help fight against surface acne.
Tea Tree
A natural oil known for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which work to reduce acne-causing bacteria on the skin’s surface and calms red, inflamed skin caused by breakouts.
Sea Buckthorn
This oil is rich in antioxidants like vitamin E to protect the skin from free radicals, as well as keeping the skin moisturised. The fatty acids present help maintain the skin’s moisture barrier to protect itself from environmental pollutants.
How to Recycle
At Poko, we make a conscious decision for every piece of packaging we use to try and make it recyclable and functional. We may not be 100% recyclable yet but we are working towards this. We need you to help do your part, so check out how to recycle each piece of your Poko packaging.
- Glass Jars: Rinse your glass jars from any residue left and recyle with clear glass at your nearest bottle bank.
- Outer Cardboard Boxes: Break down the box and recyle with your cardboard.
- Lids & Pumps: Take apart any lids or pumps, rinse them of any residue and recyle with your recyclable plastic.
- Tubes: Poko tubes are made from sugarcane and are fully recyclable. Rinse them out after use and recyle with your cardboard and boxes.
- Labels & Pipette: Dispose of in general waste.
